What: The Gary Community School Corporation will unveil its new school garden and greenhouse on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. The event will include remarks from GEAR-UP Project Coordinator, Lynda Bodie, school administrators as well as a ceremonial ribbon cutting with students and parents in attendance. The garden was made possible through a partnership between GEAR-UP and the Gary Schools as well as a host of community volunteers who donated time and resources to ensure the project’s success.

When: Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.

Where: West Side Leadership Academy 900 Gerry St. Gary, IN (Adjacent to the football stadium entrance)

Media are invited to take photos, capture footage and ask questions regarding the beautification project at West Side Leadership Academy.

The event will also be broadcast live on the Gary Community School Corporation’s Facebook page.
